This piece is slowly starting to resemble Mr. Hepplewhites design plate #47 of "The Cabinet Maker and Upholsterer's Guide" of 1794 (buy the book). I'm working on the upper outside drawers when I can find the time. This will give me a chance to develop the applied mouldings with the radius corners.

Two of these four nightstands were ordered by a customer in Charlottesville, Va. Hepplewhite shows a similar design in plate #76 of "The Cabinet Maker and Upholsterer's Guide" of 1794 (buy the book). These are based on the Biggs Co. #2054. I'll be inlaying tops and bottom frames soon. Drawer fronts will be of "fiddleback" mahogany.
